Most first emails we receive ask three things: what is your MOQ, how long is the lead time, and why does one feeder cost more than another. Here are the factory-side answers, without the sales fog, so you can plan a launch instead of chasing quotes.

MOQ and lead time

For stock or neutral-package wholesale, we start at 50 pieces. For OEM with your brand and packaging, the practical floor is 200 pieces, because tooling, printing and firmware setup need a minimum run to make sense. Samples ship in 3-5 working days; mass production runs 15-20 working days, with on-time delivery above 99%. Capacity is rarely the bottleneck — our feeder line runs about 45,000 units a month, so a first order and a reorder move on the same schedule.

What actually drives the price

Three things move an automatic feeder's cost the most: hopper capacity and the dispensing mechanism, the power design (battery, adapter, or dual), and whether you add a camera, voice recording or Wi-Fi/app control. A simple timed feeder and a Wi-Fi camera feeder are different products on the BOM, even if they look similar on a listing. The connectivity module, the lens and the app/server work behind a camera feeder are where most of the price gap lives.

Customization that pays off

Buyers often over-customize the shell and under-invest in the parts that cause returns — jam-proof dispensing and stable app connection. We guide ODM clients toward changes that lift perceived value (colorway, packaging, app branding) while keeping the proven mechanism, so your time to market stays short. Remember to budget separately for certification and packaging lead time; on a branded program those can run in parallel with production if you start them early.
